AUBURN, MAINE. โ Scott & Jonโs is branching out from its frozen shrimp entree offerings with its new microwavable salmon bowls.
Joining Scott & Jonโs convenience-focused portfolio, the product features Atlantic salmon to provide an easily preparable source of lean protein and omega-3 fatty acids, according to the company. The salmon bowls are launching in two flavors: honey sesame, with white rice, a vegetable medley and a honey sesame sauce; and Mediterranean herb, which contains brown rice, quinoa and a blend of herbs and vegetables.
โFor years, consumers and retailers have urged us to add salmon to our portfolio,โ said Scott Demers, co-founder of Scott & Jonโs. โNow, our salmon bowls are poised to provide incremental sales for those retailers already offering our shrimp bowls. Itโs a win-win for both retailers and consumers seeking convenient, good-for-you seafood meals.โ
The brandโs salmon entrees will be rolling out into retailers nationwide, such as Target, Harris Teeter and Giant Eagle, beginning early this year. The latest additions follow Scott & Jonโs better-for-you shrimp bowl line that debuted in 2023.
